When Emotions Rule Your Actions Towards Success, Develop Discipline Towards Routines and Habits
I feel terrible today. I wrote 100 Medium articles.
I don’t know what your definition of success is.
However, I do know that you have excuses:
- I just don’t have time between kids and work
- I just wanna sleep on the weekends
- I just don’t have the money to bring in extra money
- I’m between brain fried and brain dead
- My spouse won’t support me
- Doing extra will pull time from my family
I know these excuses because I’ve lived with them. They can be excellent roommates.
To be honest with you, I slipped into grey area.
I was unhappy with where I was, but happy enough not to do anything about it.
And that’s a relatively bad place to be in.
This attitude caused me inconsistencies. My endeavors were based on some very fleeting things: my emotional state, my mood, and motivation.
This is just dreadfully awful, AWFUL! Bad DeShaun!
I craved to implement three key things: commitment, discipline, and consistency.
