Transitioning From MLM to MMO (Make Money Online) Didn’t Solve My Passive Income Problems
MMO is twice as hard, but at least my family and friends aren’t involved.
I’ve been trying to make money online since 2008.
I was heavy into MLM (Multi-level Marketing) during that time. It was difficult for me to add names to my legendary list that every recruit is encouraged to make.
Adding names involved exhausting my warm marketing (asking family members, co-workers, etc.) to killing the cold market. But the cold market gave me the cold shoulder, mainly when I lurked in malls.
I don’t blame them. MLM discreetly requires you to have a recruiting mindset constantly. It’s the lifeblood of your “business.”
Recruiting meant that I couldn’t genuinely meet people. I had to read them and find openings to introduce my your-a-fool-if-you-don’t-join business opportunity. Which prospects then expressed hurt and disappointment because they initially thought I was genuinely interested in who they were.
No. I just wanted their money, if I’m honest.
When offline prospecting became tough, I moved to the online space. There, I found many gurus whose target audience was network marketers. They pandered info products on converting traffic to join your MLM…
