The Mark of the Beast — It’s Not a Liquid Jab to Your Arm, But…
As Shang Tsung said in 1995: “A Taste of Things to Come.”
You know, when my grandparents were going to church with their parents in the early 1900’s, all they knew was what the pastor told them. A lot of hooping and hollering causing mass hysteria in small buildings with crosses on top that in foolishness, saved a lot of people from God’s second coming wrath.
There wasn’t any questioning and second guessing that the pastor was preaching the undiluted Word. They basically took his word for the Word.
But somewhere along the way people started to question the messenger with questions of their own. Then we asked too many questions paralyzing ourselves from simply following the Word of God to “that doesn’t make any sense, so I’m just going to ‘feel God out’.”
And in this process, we thought we became wise, but still ended up foolish. In today’s present crisis and turmoil, we don’t question anything with bravery any longer. We simply listen to the loudest voices, hooping and hollering causing mass hysteria in echo chambers that rival those once small church buildings. Of course this hysteria is instead pushing people towards the wrath of God.
Isn’t it ironic, don’t you think?
