I’m a public education teacher and this article resonates with me on so many levels. We’re in a pickle where many teachers are leaving the profession, but we have children of our own. We learned from 2020 that parents struggle juggling their jobs AND trying to teach their kids at the same time.
I’m no algebra specialist and prefer math teachers to teach my children math. I teach the morals to my children and look for experts in their subject field to fill in my gaps. That’s where our education system can be improved.
If teachers possibly took pro Bono work teaching to individual families that will hire them, then this will be one possible solution. I dunno. I’m just throwing dookie at wall to see what sticks and doesn’t stink.
Thank you for this tea. It was piping hot but easily digestible, no cap.
