I’m a middle school teacher during the day, writer in my spare time.
I remember being a substitute teacher before being recruited to teach full-time. Substitute teaching allows you to enjoy what makes teaching kids enjoyable. However, when you cross over into the certified life, that’s when other irrelevant elements suck the life outta education.
I feel you on how writing can be this way. Just writing this comment is fun, but having to structure a formal article is often a drowsy experience. The demands of content creation can do that just like formal education has done to teaching.
