I understood what you meant when you said “low effort” as comparing it to video-audio recording and editing. There’s very little you need in terms of doing the actual physical writing: a pen and a pad is all you need in essence.

I think other “serious” writers may take umbrage with the labeling of “low effort” as it demeans the mental aspect necessary to craft well written pieces.

Writing is a personal practice to a lot of people who often romanticize and over-philosophize the act of doing it. To an extent, it could almost be its own spirituality let some people drone on about.

But from reading your article, I didn’t get the sense that you were dismissing it as a third graders exercise. Only it’s a low effort activity in relation to what’s physically (equipment and circumstantial based) needed for audio and video recording.
