I just thought about this today when comparing Medium writing with personal blogging.

I reflected, “Man I can write about any topic here on this platform and not really niche down.” As long as I’m effective at writing sentences that escalate emotions, I’m good here.

However, I have to be really strategic with my own website. It has to be a singular focus on what niche to operate in and who your target audience is. The whole website needs to be like this.

Medium, every article can target a different group of people every time and not truly get penalized for it. Nevertheless, if you approach your medium account like you would your website, your account would be stronger.
