I can agree with the “lack of opportunity” argument in regards to the not-so-distant past, but I don’t if I would say the same today in our internet dominate era.

And maybe skill isn’t as heavy of a factor as you mentioned. There was a Hispanic man that went viral in 2020, I believe on LinkedIn or Twitter, because he filmed himself hanging out the window of a car drinking an Ocean Spray refreshment (there’s more to it, but the other details escape me at the time of this writing).

No big deal right? Well his decision to film and do that encouraged many people to give him money which helped him get out of a job bind. Again why people ultimately did this, I forget at the moment.

But I use this as an example because whether random, dumb luck, or strongly willed, there are more opportunities for opportunities to be created thanks to our time.

As a public school teacher, I try to raise awareness to my students about the “opportunities” they have at their fingertips. But with great power, comes great leisure and comfort unfortunately, ha ha.

This seems like this would be a great article for you to shed some light on the whole “hard work versus opportunity” in today’s time.

I could be wrong. What do I know? I’m just a young buck with Similac still on his breath, haha.
