Fighting this narrative is what motivates me to write. What is the reality of the freedom lifestyle? How is it realistically achieved?

People are entering the Medium sphere (or any passive income pathway) with one expectation and disappointed when it does not come to pass in a short time span.

Here is one reality of obtaining this illustrious life:

1. You're going to have to be consistent

2. You're going to have to be consistent and eat doo doo for a period of time. The doo doo is no one really paying attention to your work.

3. You're going to have to strategically put things in place to connect with people and make sales

4. You're probably going to need a primary job to support your side hustle ventures and the unspoken expenses that come along with it.

I hope and pray people stop buying into the idea of "being your own boss" and look into the reality of actually being one. It's not all, "I get to wake up and watch Netflix all day working one hour on my business."

Business taxes anybody? Let's definitely not forget those.
